Up for bid here is a 1997 Fender Squier Stratocaster, produced in Korea. I bought this guitar used a few months ago, and have been completely satisfied with it. The previous owner had obviously treated & stored the guitar very well. The set-up was spot on, and the condition of the guitar is just unbelievable for an 11 year-old instrument, as the photos below show. The dark burgundy finish is very attractive, and the wood grain is visible under good lighting. The neck--always the most important single feature to me--is straight & smooth and shows virtually no fret wear. Action is low and fast, with no detectable buzzing. Tuners work smoothly and hold tune well. Fresh set of D'Addario 10's installed in June. The pickups have a solid vintage Strat tone, and the electronics are all 100% functional. This guitar looks great, sounds good and plays like an absolute dream. Compares favorably to any MIM Standard Strat you'll find, and those go for $400. The only reason I'm selling it is because another guitar has caught my eye and this one has to go to help pay for it. My loss, your gain!
Other than restringing, the only other changes made to the guitar were upgrades to a Tusq nut and graphite string trees. These are visible in the headstock shot below. The original parts will be shipped with the guitar.
The only "defect", if you want to call it that, is that the guitar didn't come to me with a trem bar. If you need one, they're only a few bucks at vitually any guitar store. Though the guitar comes without a case or gig bag, I guarantee it will be well packaged and fully insured when shipped. Note my 100% positive feedback rating and BID WITH CONFIDENCE!
